I need suggestions for repair r replacement of my device . I am on a family plan through my sister therefore I don't have access to the account. I do know that the device is insured however it was replaced only a few months ago .so If a claim is made it would b the 3rd one. Should I go through Samsung ,att, or buy a kit to repair it myself. It was dropped and has a half white screen and I can use it at all. Can anybody give my suggestions as to where to start ?

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry, I don't quite understand -- are you unable to talk to your sister about this? How many replacements does the insurance policy provide?

B. Diddy, usually 2 per year.

Caramelcandy, the phone needs to be repaired - at your expense. You can find a recommended (by friends who have had good experiences with them) repair shop, Samsung (I've had nothing but bad experience with them, but that's just one person - me) or, if you're in the US, uBreakiFix if there's on near you. Get an estimate first - there may be more wrong than just the screen. (And I suggest that you get a good protective case for the phone, so you fon't break it again - something like an Otterbox. And don't keep it in a back pocket!

Replacement? Only if the repair cost is at least 3/4 of the price of a new phone (which is about $589 for a new US version phone).
