What are the notification light indicator colors used when charging?

Ok what exactly are the colors used by the notification light on the droid x when its being charged? Here's what I know mine does:

When phone is on: Light will flash red when I get to 10% or below, letting me know to plug it into the wall charger. Once plugged, the light will then turn solid red up until its charged to 15%. After that, the light indicator will turn off and remain off even when its fully charged. I never see a light indicator (not even a solid or flashing green light) when its fully charged. Is that normal? The only way I know its fully charged is when I go to press the power button and then the screen will display what its current status is.

When phone is off:
Once plugged into the wall charger, the light will turn solid red (assuming it was flashing red before charging) and will remain red up until its charged to 15%, the light then goes off and remains off until its fully charged (I can check to see how far along its coming by pressing the power button to see an animated battery and how much its filled). It then flashes a green light when its fully charged. Is that normal?

What happened to the flashing red light when battery is low, red or orange light when its charging, and green light when its fully charged, that most android phones use? Do I have to return mine because it has a defective light indicator. I read the manual but it doesn't list any of the light notification colors and their meanings when charging... Is anyone out there seeing something different?

I've not put nearly as much thought into it as you - but I know for sure mine will not light up while charging other than initially for a few seconds - then it goes out and remains out even when fully charged. Never paid attention to what happens when my phone is at X% though. If it drops under 15% and I plug it in I'll try to remember to look and see what exactly it does.

I personally think what you've listed is normal behavior for the X.

Droidrob: I'm not sure if it's by design or not, but I'm hoping it's a bug that get's addressed in the Froyo update.

Lol umm yea sorry the 15% was just an estimate.. I guess I could've said somewhere between 10% and 20% the light would go out. But anyways, I guess what I'm seeing is like what you said above in that it just lights up initially and then goes out. Man that sucks tho, I would've liked to have that light remain on instead of having to press the power button to check and see if its done charging. Hope maybe there'll be an option later in an update to choose to turn on or off the notification light when charging thus further advancing how one can customize the settings in ones' phone.. half joking (not a big deal but..) :)

Yea I agree with you. I hope Cory's right and Froyo will address this (along with a few other minor issues) when it gets pushed out to the X.

That's what I was thinking, a glitch or something. The light turns on solid red but then goes out!?.. Why turn on at all if its not going to turn on at the end to notify me when its done charging. But yea here's hoping it does get addressed either with the Froyo update or with a Motorola update (whomever's responsible for it). Awesome phone but I have found it to be very glitchy at times (like my double tap the screen to silence the ringer doesn't work or if I turn on the option to flip the screen down to vibrate it would then cause the ringer to not ring even tho volume is up). Anyways got off topic and all just minor issues but then again it is supposed to be up there top of the line right...
