What are the pop-ups I keep getting om my phone and how can I get rid of them?

[Android Central Question]

For around 2 months I have been getting these pop-ups on my phone saying random and extremely repetitive messages. Some examples are health tips (which always shows as 'drink water'), battery saving, boosting, and more. A pop-up comes up even when I simply adjust my brightness or change my volume. The most annoying thing about these pop-ups are that they also include ads below them and they take forever to click out of. I will have press the cross around 5 times before it disappears and then when it does it takes me to another ad. I'm quite positive it is a virus as I can't imagine why Samsung themselves would include such a thing on their phones. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

I am also having this same problem on my Cat phone and this is the only place I have found that even remotely comes close to the problem. Still haven't been able to find the problem. Any help would be great.
