Samsung Warranty Void Rules

I have the s6 edge. It's screen had some black dots from the factory... Without using it i got it to the service. They told me no warranty cause of root. I hadn't touched it.

Anyway. Today i started it in ODIN mode and everything is official. Even the KNOX counter is set to 0.

What other counter may be the cause of broken warranty or were the service guys lying to me asking to pay 600$ to replace my screen?

Thats the info.

PRODUCT NAME: SM-G925F
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
REACTIVATION LOCK: OFF
Secure Download : Enabled
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0 (0x0000)
AP SWREV: 1
Kernal AP SWREV: 1

Please guys give me a sign that i can still fix my phone under warranty

Re: Samsung Warranty Void Rules

I'm not sure what the problem could be. Was it Samsung who denied the warranty service?

Yeap Samsung. They showed me my phone in odin mode and it showed custom in the properties but when I boot my phone in odin mode it is still at official state

That's weird. Have you tried going through the retailer (if different than Samsung direct) for a replacement or repair?

Re: Samsung Warranty Void Rules

So you had a brand new phone, took it to Samsung service, which determined that it had been rooted and you were just like, whatevr.
Personally, I'd have gone crazy at whomever sold it to me, as clearly they sold me a used phone. Did you buy it from a reputable dealer?

Yeah just like that. I bought it from a big company. I went to their shop gave them my phone to send it for repair. 19 days later they replied to me saying that Samsung refused to repair under warranty. I asked them to bring my phone back so I can take it myself for repair. Went to authorised Samsung service center and they told me it's rooted. Also asked me for 600$ to replace the motherboard and 120$ for the screen. When I got home I checked my phone and it's not rooted at all.
All I want is to know what those counter are (AP SWREV).
I contested Samsung phone center asking for their supervisor to talk. They told me that he will call me within 3 days. It's been a week now and still no phone call.
I'm in vacation now so as soon I get back I'll take it there and create a problem. That's messed up from Samsung

Your beef should be with the place that sold it to you, because if you didn't root it then clearly they sold you a used phone. Unless of course you did root it and then went back to stock and are trying to figure out how Samsung detected that. Which is what I'm suspecting is the real story.
