What are the two openings in the front just north of the S in Samsung.

My TMobile store placed my self-healing glass protector just a skosh onto the hole closest to the left edge. What is that "hole" and will that disturb anything. Otherwise it's a perfect install. I am guessing ambient light and proximity sensor? Which is which? What effect, if any...
