What are your favorite ROMs?

Hi all,

I was just curious what ROMs most of you like the best. I hear a lot of talk about CM7, so I take it that one is going to be high on most lists, but what other ROMs do you really feel are top quality out there? Unfortunately, I don't have much input since I just rooted earlier this week and have only used Sense, but I know that a lot of you have a ton of knowledge and experience with these ROMs so I figured I would post this up.

I'd say as you mentioned CM7 is my favorite , but also a close runner is Skyraider

CM7! Honestly, I wouldn't want to use any other ROM. I'm not a fan of Sense at all but I love pure AOSP Android, and all the customization options CM7 gives you make it just awesome. The only thing I still sort-of miss from Sense id the HTC camera, but the MIUI camera is a great replacement.

I'd have to agree with davidnc...CM7 and Skyraider 4.2 are my favorite.

CM7 is so customizable it's ridiculous, and Skyraider 4.2 strikes an almost perfect balance between Sense and Vanilla.

I've been on CM7 nightlies for probably 3 weeks now, the longest I've gone on one ROM since I started flashing. The only thing I really miss from Sense-based ROM's is the dialer. To me it is the easiest way to call your peeps.

Once again, the previous posters kick butt!!!! If you want to stay with Sense, go with Skyraider. Great Sense rom and excellent battery life. If you want to get away from Sense, go with CyanogenMod with Chad's latest Incredikernel. I can use it all day at work, stream music, and do a little geocaching and still have battery left at the end of the day.

The two sense ROMs I go to are SkyRaider 4.0 and redemptive rEVOlution.

The two AOSP ROMs are either CM7 or OMFGB

As the Stig said, nandroids are cheap and easy...try them all!!

I'm currently on nils' business gingersense with bits of sense 3.0! It really cool from a sense perspective and I'm really digging the lock screen and I LOVE the sense 3.0 transitions and the stocks widget.

Bottom line, try every ROM! At worst you only waste a few hours of time, you go back to a nandroid of something you like and can rely on and SHAZZAM your back...like nothing ever happened.
