Hey guys and gals. Now that we have some more people who possibly have root on their phones and playing around with all the toys we have floating out there I figured this would be a good time to poke about and find out what people find to be must haves! I would like to keep this as clean as possible and see how everyone is fairing on trying new things out. So if you could please lay your post out something to the effect of:
Code:
ROM:
Apps:
Kernels:
etc:

So far here is my list of must haves!
ROM:
I've tried the stock rooted ROM that comes on the phone leaned out with footprints, cityid etc removed. Runs and acts the same as the day you got your phone no noticable difference besides the apps not being there.

pmf v1.1 YASR - It doesn't have the Sense UI but still has enough Sense elements to keep it interesting. Seemed to me to slow down over the week or so that I used it. May have been the undervolted kernel I'm using still haven't decided. I liked the vanilla looks and performance was a touch better than plain old Sense. I really suggest everyone check this ROM out. It comes with Launcher Pro and is VERY customizable from 1-7 screens etc.

Skyraider 1.8 Beta Sense+Froyo - Don't have much to say about this except like every other 2.2 ROM the camera doesn't work. But unlike some of the other Froyo ROMs the GPS etc is working. Performance seems a touch faster than the pmf ROM with the exception that it scores ~40 in linpack and mid 700's in quadrant where the stock ROM scored ~5-6/~500 respectively.

Apps:
ROM Manager, paid version.
Titanium Backup (Still debating buying it or not)
IncrediLight, works great and doesn't break your camera flash!

Kernels:
Hydra Undervolted/ Stock speed Kernel - increased my battery life over the day by about 2 hours. No difference in speed of apps etc, but I think this may be what caused my phone to slow down over a week or so of use.

So guys let me see what you have been messing with! I think other would find your 'reviews' of what you've been using helpful so they get an idea of what they may want to try better!

Roms-
YASR - Just enough sense removed for me. I prefer straight vanilla android, but this one's a staple for me.

Cyanogen 6 - Amazing performance and UI tweaks, but no camera and GPS makes it a no go for me

Apps -
Lamppu - LED flashlight widget
ROM Manager
Titanium Backup

That's all for now, but I can't wait for more goodies

Roms-

Jager "chocolate" (I for one actually like sense, it's what drew me to this phone) although I do like the option to kill it once in a while JFK.

Apps-

Wireless Tether, I know this is included in the rooting process but it was one of the reasons I rooted.
Titanium Backup, gonna pay for this one on payday
Rom Manager
Ad Free
Removed CityID, Stocks, FM Radio, You Tube

Kernels- Have not delved into this one yet

I am kinda taking things slow right now, I don't want to OD like I did with BB.

+1 For ROM Manager
+.5 For Titanium Backup - I think its an Android limitation, but I wish I did not have to confirm each installation.

I like the SkyRaider rom, just wish I could use Verizon's contact restore with it.

ROMS - Stock

Apps;
Wireless Tether
SetCPU
ROM Manager
Titanium Backup
DroCap2
QuickBoot
CacheMate for Root
AutoStarts
IncrediLights (cannot seem to get lamppu to work)

Kernels;
flipping between a couple hydrakernels trying to decide upon which one best suits my needs

ROMS - Currently running Jager (Chocolate). Tried YASR 1.1, I also noticed a bit of a slowdown after a while though. I may give 2.2 a shot after work today. SkyRaider was fun for some FroYo action but I use my camera alot haha

Apps - Wireless Tether (duh!)
ROM Manager Premium
Update Titanium Backup - Just got the donate version, and oh man is it worth. No more clicking Install for every app during restore, backups are much faster.
Lampuu (Liked Incredilight, but Lampuu's widget makes it a winner for me)

Kernel - Overclocked/Undervolted Hydrakernel with Wireless N.

Jager Chocolate for me. I had the 2.2 Cyna installed but wanted the camera. But I was an addict with my BB Storm and after having the Droid for about 6 months and only a couple with DINC Root is the way to go.
