What are your thoughts on samsung ditching removable battery and SD card slot

Why did they ditch those features

Everything after s5 sucks now

If I wanted apple I'd just buy that then

If samsung keeps this up I'm afraid I'll have to get rid of all my Samsung devices including my gs4 and switch to someone else

Becuz samsung use to mean innovation
but now all it is
is another apple clone to me

What are your thoughts on samsung ditchING micro sd card slot and removeable battery???????????????

Good thing we have a ton of good Android contenders out there for you to choose from! :D If you wanna 'leave' Samsung, that is.

Personally I don't care about the SD Card, just don't use them anymore since they're not reliable. The removable battery though, I'm torn. On a day-to-day use, I don't mind. My Note 4 lasts all day long with normal use (might need a recharge every now and then if I watch some videos or while navigating in the car, but I have the charger there anyway). But for trips, I do have to admit having that extra battery ready and charged is quite handy and more often than not, needed (all those pictures won't take themselves! haha).

Sometimes you gotta know if a phone is for you or not. When I saw the S6's battery life, I knew it wasn't for me. It might even have come with a removable battery and still I wouldn't have gotten it because of that.

Note devices, though, usually have awesome battery life, so if they decide to ditch the removable part, as long as they keep the current (or better) battery life I get from the 4, I'm good.

But if you're looking for something just as good with removable stuff, I'd suggest the G4. Quite an amazing device with an awesome camera.

Either is a deal breaker for me, but that's the direction the industry is heading in. The Note 4 (if I need a replacement for my Note 3) is probably going to be the last Samsung I'll buy.

New Motorola phone with the 5.7inch display has just entered the competition. And that has the aforementioned two features Samsung seems to be removing. Not AMOLED screen though, and that hurts more IMHO.

No matter how great the G4 is, I still look at it next to the Note 4 and it doesn't stand a chance because of the screen.

Funny how different strokes for different folks works sometimes. I'm the exact opposite. I can't stand looking at an AMOLED screen and seeing that green tint and only use phones with LCD's that show truer colors. But it does seem to be getting harder to find "the right phone." I sacrificed a removable battery to go with the M8 for its other specs. There was no one right phone for me at the time when I was shopping.
