What are your thoughts on unlocked bootloader rooting custom ROMS

I have unlocked the bootloader, rooted, and flashed on the new radios. I plan to flash a 4.0.3 custom ROM soon.

I have never wanted to try custom ROMs, root is enough for me.

You can do more with your phone. There are many apps that require root and you can flash a ROM that is better than the current stock ROM.

There are many advantages.
Access to internal storage
Access to the Unix command line
Over/under clocking
Installing custom ROMs
Installing a leaked OS
Full system backups/restores
Full app backups/restores

My phone since rooting and flashing custom roms has been smoother and faster. I use to get some lag on my landscape keyboard before rooting and now I don't.

Remember it's not truly yours until you void the warranty!
