I just got my V last week but always used opera mini on other phones. do you use the stock browser, opera mini or something else? What works best in your opinion?

Thanks

I use skyfire mostly. Whats the advantage that opera mini has?

1. Since it uses a proxy, it can bypass corporate firewalls

2. It does all processing of pages server side, so it's super fast

3. It syncs with opera for your desktop (favorites, history etc)

sounds like they need a feature like skyfire's flash video playback capability and it would be the perfect browser. I can pinch to zoom using it too right?

You actually need more then one on the optimus v. Skyfire for flash. since I dont know any other browser that supports that. then what ever other one you want opera, dolphin, miren, there all about equal I think. Though opera mini would probably be the fastest of all.

I'm using Opera Mini right now because it is fast! But when Firefox comes out...I'll be all over that! Even if it is a bit slower, I like Firefox and i will be able to sync with my work and home desktops!

ugh, can't find any I like yet.
Stock ok but user-agent is a mobile, which makes sites want to reformat, like the local paper won't give me a full html view without another browser like skyfire where I can fudge the user-agent to desktop.
But skyfire incorporates that social-neckworking sh** that I never want to see or accidentally bump and have to cancel. And it doesn't really seem to support flash any more than the stock browser, just grabs mobile content when a site offers it. Like it says on hulu, 'hulu.com doesn't offer mobile content.'
Opera mobile seems similar to opera mini, ok, but not spectacular.
I'll try dolphin and miren, thanks.

I couldn't pinch to zoom, just a double tap... I wish it did have skyfire's flash ability, but I doubt they will add it... maybe they would to opera mobile, but who knows.

I typically wouldn't want to use my phone for any flash stuff, as I think its a battery hog (flash).

I've been using Opera Mini, but I'd love to get some Firefox Mobile going on. However, whenever I try to download it on the phone, I get an error...
