What can I do to unfreeze my galaxy tab 3

My tablet froze about 2 weeks ago. It won't acknowledge that I'm putting my pass code in. I've turned it on and off, held the power button for awhile until it reset, and Mr husband did something that didn't work either. I'm not sure what else there is to do. It turns on, or charges, but it won't let me put in my passcode. I believe the screen is frozen, what can I do to fix it

Welcome to Android Central! So no touches are registered at all? Try booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data. If that doesn't work, you could also try doing a full factory reset from that menu, which of course does erase all personal data. If the touchscreen still doesn't work, then it's probably a hardware failure. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-16226
