What can the evo do in wifi only (airplane mode)?

Say you are on a plane with the new wifi allowance and you want to just cruise around on the Evo. What all can you do besides the obvious surfing the internet? I'm assuming you can use gtalk right? Can you text and send emails? Just figured i'd ask so I can make sure I don't have to bring my laptop on the flight this weekend. Thanks for the help

Inflight Internet is not optimized for large downloads, uploads, streaming audio, streaming video, and multiplayer gaming. High Bandwith consumption services will work on the service, but speeds will be slow or completely unavailable by using them ... Other than that your good to go ... Its supposed to be mobile broadband speeds but damn slow.

You'll only be able to text if you are using google voice for texting. Standard SMS messages need to go through cell service.

You should be able to use gtalk and email no problems though.
