AC Question

I have a samsung galaxy note 3 that has been factory reset. I'm trying to find out who the original carrier was so I can see if I can use it for pre-pay. Any ideas on how I can find this information? Thanks

I'd start by going into Settings, and find the model number listed under About Phone. Then Google Search that model number.

i tried that. it is SM-N900 with no other letters or numbers. it's not a fake as the air command works on the s-pen. I even called samsung but they said that they would have to get back in touch with me. i was transferred to several people at samsung and one tech told me that it was an international phone - whatever that means

Perhaps it is simply not a carrier-locked device.

From what I can find, the SM-N900 without any other identifiers is an international version (packing an Exynos cpu instead of Snapdragon) that doesn't seem to be carrier locked. So I would assume the device would support a pre-paid sim. Easiest way to check is to take it to a local carrier that offers Pre-Paid and see if it will work.
