What case do you like to use.? Leather cases for the u11

All of my past phones I have had leather cases for them. I either had TetDed or the Pierre Cardin style since I favor the minimal type of case /shell while having a truly premium cover. I love the look and feel of finely crafted leather products. While not as bulky as the other styles, they still offer a significant amount of drop protection even for the glass backed variety of phones (Note 5). Since I am "old fashioned" I also use a hip holster (belt clip) to carry my phones in. It too is leather and expertly crafted. This is something many younger people won't use but in my line of work offers awesome protection from bumps scrapes, bangs and hazards and is made by PDair.

Anyway, having such a great stylish phone calls for wrapping it in a great case and I just found out that TetDed is making cases for the u11...

I can answer this. Because of the thickness and dot pattern you really don't see much of the color underneath. You actually see more with the thinner default case, but you lose a ton of protection.

Edit: Just wanted to clarify. You can see the color through it. But it's not perfectly clear.

So the spigen case is not completely clear?

It's clear, but it's thicker, and there is a white dot pattern through it. You can see the color of the phone, but not a ton of detail. At least on my black u11. I'm sure red or blue would show a little better.

I'm using the in box shell most of the time, but I use the Spigen when going out.

I'm enjoying the leather protective case from HTC. Only gripes is that you can't see the notification light with the case closed and working edge sense takes a bit of getting used to. I ordered the white case. Really got used to Ice View with my 10 so I am missing it with my U11.

I do want to add: I love leather cases on phones. However, most tend to have a hard plastic shell underneath. While this is great for protection, I wonder if it will interfere or make it harder to use Edge Sense (squeezing).

I know it's a bit of a gimmick, but I'm already using it quite a bit on a daily basis.

I don't think it will, I've had these types of cases on a lot of phones and both the TetDed and the Pierre Cardin cases have some flexibility on the sides where the Edge Sense will be used. I'll know soon enough about it to be sure though.

You can see the red and gold, but of course it's never going to look as good as no case at all. I've never liked using cases, and this will be the first phone I've ever owned where I have even bought a case. I think the case does slightly lighten the color overall, and I do wish HTC had made the phone a slightly deeper red to begin with. But you can see from my photo that the red does show through, and the gold certainly does as well.

I have the clear case from Spigen with the solar red. it looks nice but the case on the thick side and I don't like the way it feels in the hand so iam going with the Spigen rugged armour

It seems a shame to cover this sapphier beauty up but the trade off is having awesome leather and still having a bit of the blue peek through... Lol
