What cases are you guys using for vibrant?

Four days ago, I purchased a Vibrant. Yay! I'm a newbie, and I want a case for it. I found one at EDITED BY MODERATOR. But I want to hear or take suggestions before I cruise my way on finding something not worth the money. Thanks.

I bought a soft case at radio shack but have a hard case on order at amazon. I needed something while I traveled. I had a hard time finding a case and it seemed most weren't shipping till end of august.

I went to my local best buy and picked up a generic case for 19.99 thats roomy enough that I'm able to keep the rubber case on my vibrant as well.

I got a black gel case and car charger on ebay for 12 bucks..works for me.

Any one know if these will work on the vibrant? I know the vibrant is very slightly different than the normal galaxy s.

I am using a hard black case by Body Glove. Got it at the TMO store.

I got a pink gel case on Amazon.com. I like the fashion statement it makes and it fits very well so as to protect the phone which was its true purpose. The only problem with it is the moulding for the volume and on/off switch were too stiff. I was having a difficult time turning my Vibrant on and off, not to mention the volume. I fixed it by taking an x-acto knife and cutting it on three sides to allow me to better access the on/off. I did nothing to the volume. Not a perfect fix. I've ordered a different case, something advertised as a hard case this time. I saw that there are holes for the basic controls rather than moulding. We'll see how much better (or if it is better) this case turns out to be. If not, I'm taking my x-acto to the volume moulding as well. Who knew graphic design school would come in handy in this way?

Hey let us know how it fits. I found another site for the same case but it said nothing about the vibrant. It was for the Galaxy S. I e-mailed them to see if it would fit and they replied that the vibrant was 2-3mm wider! I really want to get one but it's out of stock on the website you posted.

I know this has been ridiculed but I don't want to swap my battery so I'd consider Samsung Galaxy S Power Pack: when internal batteries are just too convenient -- Engadget as an option. -Pk

I use a Body glove snap on (good quality). My wife uses the purple Speck case with argyle on the back. Her case looks and feels great, I just wish they made it in different colors.

After a thorough browsing through the net, I finally ordered the Ultra Silke case in indigo blue. I'm hoping to receive it by the end of the week or even before.

Samsung Galaxy S Barely There Cases by Case-mate

Case-Mate's 'Barely There' case just came out for the Vibrant. I want one.

Azhhomieboy, which case did you get from Case Mate? The Barely There? How is it? Is it really 'barely there'? Does it add noticeable bulk to the phone? Is it noticeable like say in your pocket?

i got the tough case from case-mate in black. i like it a lot. def feels like it would protect from a fall on anything. and it feels thinner compared to the tmo gell skin i originally had.

I just went ahead and purchased the Ultra Silke case in dante red. I am looking forward to it. Hope it doesn't dissapoint me. EDITED BY MODERATOR
