So everyone I text lately gets what I sent an hour or longer after. I've never had this issue before. I'm sending using pretty good wifi (500) and the delay has been to several different people. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Hi there, this sounds like an issue with your carrier. You could try clearing the cache in the messages app (settings- apps- messages-storage-clear cache)

I would also contact your carrier and ask if there are any network issues they're aware of.

Also, if you're using wi-fi calling, try turning off wi-fi and see if there are still delays with sending messages. If not, then it might have to do with the wi-fi calling feature.

Try cache clear then force stop , if still happening clear data then force stop and if still happening settings>reset network

I'm using Verizon plus messaging. I do use wifi calling when I'm home since the 5G coverage is awful in my area

Delayed SMS delivery can have several different reasons There might be an issue with the recipient phone itself It is also possible that the delay was caused by a loss of connection between the phone and the network A restart of the phone re-establishes the connection and allows the SMS to be delivered.

Thanks! The 2 people getting the delay in receiving my texts are in my household however neither were home when the delay occurred. Just odd, today everything is OK, wondering now if it was just Verizon

Actually it was a delay with recipients getting the texts. Everything seems fine today, wondering if it was just a Verizon issue yesterday

I just switched to google messages and I'm having this problem too. Going to switch back to samsung messages and see how it goes.

Contact Carrier. They should take care of the delay.
