Well, the U11 and iPhones for this year aside from the X has bezels. Google didn't have too much of a choice since they have to look to HTC for all of their components. Does HTC know how to make a bezel free phone is another question too?That seems the most likely. If a component is already being made then costs are saved right off the bat. Recycling the V30 display would do exactly that.
Doubtful. In terms of overall design, LG would listen to Google's input but not another ODM. One case where you might see input is if introducing something wildly different such as the squeeze-to-do-something feature since that's HTC's baby. But, everything under the 2 XL hood should be LG.
If anything, LG should have been able to tell HTC not to put giant, ugly bezels on the standard Pixel 2. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case.
HTC stuck to their ultra pixel cameras in the M7/M8 and decided to do the same with bezels this year. Although great phones, the cameras cost HTC dearly. Then the garbage M9, followed by the astounding HTC 10. HTC never learned I guess.
haha. So it would be between those two colours. Im pretty excited to see what we get.
