What Darkslide ROM Should I use?

There are four different variants, and I was wondering what I should go with.

DarkSlide_Update_V4.2.zip
DarkSlide_Update_V4.2_CLS.zip
DarkSlideBlur_Update_V4.2.zip
DarkSlideBlur_Update_V4.2_CLS.zip

First, what is CLS?

Second, what is the difference between the ROM with blur and the ROM without blur? I thought all ROMs will have a little bit of blur in them, like the camera for instance. Is the blur version full blur and the blurless version minimal blur?

blur referrs to motorola's "skin" installed overtop of base android. If you want to keep some of the features of blur you should install a blur base ROM. I honestly like SOME parts of blur so i choose to keep it. I remove what I dont like or want.

as for CLS I have to guess Custom Lock Screen and it seems specific to that ROM. Maybe a rotary type lock or something. Darkslide is a great ROM but have you tried APEX yet?

I believe CLS is for the clear lock screen add-on in the ROM

The latest version to download is here...DarkSlide v4.2 this will include the latest update. I can see how those 4 would confuse you. Darkslide w or w/out the clear lock screen add-on, and Darkslide w blur and cls or Darkside w Blur and no CLS.

As to your question about the blur, this quote should help you
"They offer both a Blur and a "Blurless" version, but the Blurless version is basically slightly Blurry-just enough to keep all the functionality of the Droid X, but not enough to be in the way"

ok so I downloaded and installed DarkSlide v4.2 and it never made it past the boot animation, its currently boot looping. I restarted into recovery but the X/Moto recovery which doesn't give me more options than reboot, wipe data and install update.zip. I googled how to get back to clockworkmod recovery so I can restore my Liberty but Im not finding anything besides holding Home with power then releasing it then something else and something else that hasnt worked. Anyone here know how? Thanks

Nevermind. I went into Moto recovery and chose wipe data/factory reset and it loaded DarkSlide. Odd.

You should always wipe when installing new ROMs to avoid issues.

I thought I was still on my Dinc using MIUI cuz sometimes you didnt have to. Damn I cant shake the memory of that device yet,lol
