What do i do if my tablet is stuck in start up mode?

[AC Question]

My tablet has been in start up mode for an hour. The little color circles are moving, but I've never seen it go for this long to start up. I didn't know it had been turned off since I used it 30 minutes prior when I opened the case & saw it trying to start up. If I had gotten a notification or had seen the little Android bot I would have known it was an update. What do I do if it takes over an hour & it still hasn't booted up?

Welcome to Android Central! Which tablet? It sounds like it might be a problem with the hardware or firmware.
