IMG-20240914-WA0000.jpgI took this pic from my mom's phone which is 7 years old (Samsung J7 max). The pic isn't very clear. My phone is Samsung A30 which I purchased in July 2019.

As you can see, there are some colored lines in the vertical white line. It started 2 days ago. It was a single green line in the beginning. I didn't even drop my phone.

I did all the software troubleshoot methods still there is no improvement. I don't know what caused those lines.

Note : The multiple dark ridges in the screen doesn't exists. It only comes when you take the pic of screen from someone else phone.

I agree. The most important thing right now is to make sure any important data is backed up or synced somewhere safe, in case the display completely fails. Then either bring the phone to a repair shop, or consider recycling it and replacing it with another one.

I don't want to buy another phone until mid 2025. Last month I got screen replacement. I didn't even thrown it on the ground. Lines appeared suddenly.

The back cover of my phone has completely lost it's adhesiveness.

Is the back cover being forced open? That could be the battery expanding. That's not a good thing. If it is the battery "pillowing", it could be pushing against something else inside that is affecting the screen.

Either way, if it is an expanding battery, you need to get rid of it soon, if not now.

I would echo joeldf's concern -- if the back cover is coming off because of the battery swelling, that's a potential fire hazard, and you definitely have to bring it to a repair shop or dispose of it safely.

However, if the phone does not appear swollen, then it's possible the back cover coming off has more to do with the recent screen replacement. Since you're also having screen issues, the best thing to do would be to bring it back to the shop that replaced the screen and have them look at it.

Yes... agreed. I should have said that too.

If it was a botched screen repair, they need to re-do it. At no charge.

Nope. The back has lost it's glue. I have to always hold back of my phone so that back side doesn't comes off.

It would be pretty unusual for the adhesive to fail, unless someone has pried it open in the past. Was it already coming off before you brought it to the shop to replace the screen? If it wasn't, that would still make me suspect a poor repair job.

I got my phone back glued two times. One in August and the other in Feb 2023. Still the back came off.

I came to the repair shop last month for two problems – screen replacement and gluing the back side.

Ok, well as long as the battery isn't swollen, you'll just have to get the back cover reattached when you bring the phone back to have the screen inspected again.
