I tried the demo and while the graphics are cute, the music apparently from a very popular composer, and the gameplay isn't that bad (it does remind you of older Zelda games), it just felt too repetitive. From the reviews and videos I've seen, it doesn't get better.
I just re-played the demo on the Switch and it still feels like that. It's not so expensive now, and if you're on the fence, give the demo a shot, but I don't think the game holds its ground now as it did when it came out for the iPhone years ago. The sequel isn't too far behind, either.
