What does the Camera Icon mean on albums in the Gallery app.

I know the S22 Ultra does not use an SD card...whereas these icons would normally indicate if the photo is on internal storage or SD. Therefore I am curious why I have a camera icon on the Camera Album in Gallery.

It’s probably to still indicate that the pics in the folder are taken from the camera. Because you can have multiple folders in your album from different sources like snapshot, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc., the icon shows you the source of the photos in that folder.

It's to indicate they were taken with the camera and are located in the main camera directory, at least that's how it works on my Note 20 U.

Welcome to Android Central! Is it a camera icon associated with a cloud icon? If so, I believe that means the photos is saved both locally and in the cloud. If you were to delete the photo locally, then the icon would just become a cloud. Or just another folder named 'Camera' which I have in my photos folder as a sub folder for a group of files.
My folders are listed in alphabetical order but the phones actual camera folder is pinned as the first folder... followed by screenshots and downloads... then all the folders from my photo collection follow.
