What does the P in 6P stand for?

I know Google has commented to AA that "P" in the Nexus 6p is for premium, but I still think after looking at the back of the phone it makes more sense to be periscope. That large black stripe, jutting out from the top of the phone, it just looks like a smushed periscope to me, not that it's bad looking.

I don't see it as jutting out, per se. That implies a substantial hump. It's only slightly raised, to me. Overall, it's a seamless design, and I don't expect it to feel awkward in hand.
