What does this forum think about the Go editions of android?

Welcome to Android Central! Android Go is for significantly underpowered devices, so it's primarily good for people who can't afford flagship or even midrange devices. There are plenty of budget devices that run full Android as well, so I can't think of many situations where I'd recommend an Android Go device -- at least in the US. It may be a different story in other markets.

I'm looking at an 8 inch Lenovo tablet with go edition for a child's first tablet. It's very light. I just want to ensure the system is reliable.

I had a very good experience with a Lenovo Windows laptop lasting umpteen years from Windows 7 to Windows 10 until I finally moved on to Windows 11.
