What ever happened

Supposedly last month Verizon and HTC were supposed to release a flavor of ICS to HTC Thunderbolt but it never came about. Does anyone know any inside info as to what is going on I sure would like to get off of the Android version 2.3.4 software version 2.11.605.19 71079RD.
Fill me in. I would rather get the official OTA instead of Rooting it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Not a very good news but hopefully this month HTC ThunderBolt Ice Cream Sandwich Situation is Unacceptable
