What happened to 2.2.1 for the D2G?

All of the other Droids have it on Verizon except for the D2G. Wonder what's going on with that?

Droid 2 (original) is still on 2.2, I don't believe it ever made the jump to 2.2.1 let alone the 2.2.2 that we all need to protect against bad market apps.

I think the original Droid 2 does have the 2.2.1.

Its still on plain 2.2. Running it now.

The D2G isn't at EOL so I doubt they'd stop releasing updates for the D2. Besides, it would be seriously bad business for them. Everyone knows Apple still updates their older iPhone models - even if the newer updates slow down the older models significantly (ticks a lot of people off too). But if people find out there's no long term support on Android devices they'd be more likely to go Apple... and that makes me a verrryy saaaad Panda!
