AC Question

Running version 7 on Note 5, where the heck are my contact groups? Maybe this died along time ago because I use infrequently but I have many groups like doctors, realtors, prospects, etc. When you couldn't remember a name, you just went to the group tab and found the person.

IF this is gone, it's more than dumb but what is the alternative? I have Sync.me but it doesn't show my groups. I just need something simple that sorts by group name so I can find people.

Been there, done that. Groups are no longer a listed option. I can go to a contact & it is still assigned to a group but no way to get to the group to see its members.

Well that's odd. I press the three dots, choose groups and then if I tap on one, it shows the people. Even an old group I had as I don't use them.

Maybe someone else will have an idea.

Are you using the Phone app or the Contacts app? On my Phone app there is no way to select groups but on my Contacts app there is a Groups button in the top right.

Using native phone App. It always had the group option before. Simple, search for a group, find contact, call.

The only "contact" app I have is Sync.me. it is great for caller ID but as far as I can see has no search option for groups.

I can go to my gmail on pc and groups are actually labels but the option of searching groups in the android phone app is gone from mine. AT&T, Note 5, Version 7.

Delete, Share, Speed Dial, Settings are the options under the menu dots in phone app. There used to be group's too.

Can still do new contact and assign to a group but have no way of accessing the group anymore.

Thanks, maybe I am flaking out but you are correct, group option is under contacts vs phone. Weird because I could swear it was in phone app.

I said the only contact app I had was Sync me because i never used or noticed the contact app before. It is buried in the app list. What is the point of both? I put everyone in the phone App with or without a phone #.

In any event, THANKS for pointing me in the right direction. Now back to meds!

I never understood why there are 2 apps either. They both access/edit the same list of contacts. Really, I just use the Phone app all the time too, I just looked in the Contacts app to see if it would solve your problem. Anyway, glad I (kinda) solved your problem.

hold on... is the problem resolved? Last time I send an SMS to a "google Group" was 21st April. I just went to send one and there is no longer an option in Messaging nor in Contacts to select a Group. I believe my update to Android 7 on 1st March has taken this function away??:'(

Don't use but just opened message app, new message, tapped human icon at top right and group option is there. Looks like it works but did not try.

I use Verizon stock text , Its still there ..
Click on 3 dods .. Top right .
You must create group first .
