What happened to Now Playing and Weather apps?

They seem to have suddenly disappeared and not anywhere in my app drawer

Pixel 6 Pro here. I never used either of them, but I do know that the Google Weather App is currently available to me in Widgets and that I can activate Now Playing in Settings should I wish to use either of them.

Make sure you're fully updated. Had a whole host of them recently. Especially the Android AI core.

Both came installed ion my phone and were on my Homescreen. Both have magically disappeared, and appear nowhere on my phone in Apps.

I do not recall ever seeing either as an app. Now Playing is in settings and weather is a widget.

I was able to get Now Playing back, but not the weather app. It wasn't a widget, but a stand alone app

Are you talking about this?

That's basically a shortcut you can get through Chrome browser.

Starting to forget what the icon looked like, so maybe. It would give me all kinds of hour by hour details of temps/chance or precipitation, long range forecast, etc.
It was a stand alone app, but maybe part of Chrome and I didn't realize it? There was a big Chrome update recently, so maybe that made it disappear?

I have the weather as part of the at a glance widget. It shows the temp on the main screen and when you tap on it you get all the other info.

Thank you everyone for the help and suggestions. I somehow muddled along and got both apps back on my Homs Screen like they have always been, and can't exactly remember my exact steps. To B.Diddy, I checked that link you posted and had to chuckle at the reviews from people who have had the same problem with the app suddenly disappearing as I did .
One thing is that it seems like Now Playing no longer shows at the bottom of my Always On display when music is playing in the background of a room like it used to, but will pay more attention to make sure.
