What have I done?

I read a posting on a thread here mentioning tapping the Build Number a certain number of times.

I couldn't resist. I barely noticed a small window saying I was so many taps away from being a developer.

I don't want any one to try it unless it's harmless. I will try to delete this later to prevent others being stupid like me.

I'm not sure if the Build number changed, I think it did.

If I changed something, is it reversible? I restarted the phone and it's behaving normally.

I also tried the original poster of 3 days ago.

This is probably the first step in to rooting which I don't want nor fully understand.

Hope you can help.

It just enablers developer options in the menu. That's it. No harm.

And it won't root your phone at all. Not even close to it.

Wow, that's great. Thanks to you both for being so quick.

I will maybe leave this on a little while today and then try to remove it.
I am much obliged!

I believe all that does is enable developer options on your phone which are supposed to be hidden by default. It's not going to do anything else to your phone I believe, unless you mess around with the developer options. The phone I have right now(a fake one) had it enabled by default and I messed around with it, but there wasn't really anything in there I could see that could have damaged the phone.

That explains it more. I will leave it alone. Thanks Crxssroad. Sorry you got a fake if you ordered a real one.
