I really hate to ask this, but I'm curious to know how people will feel, what they will do if December 8th comes and goes without a release...or anything happening.

What will happen?

I think I'll continue to wait. Of course I'd have to because there is nothing else out for Verizon that I want.

Same way as when the other "rumored" dates came and went by. I will still do what I do everyday whether the phone is out or not.

I'm waiting until my Droid dies. If it hasn't released then, I'm off to Sprint unless my account rep arranges a loaner.

The first thing I will do is come to this forum and laugh at all of the people freaking out as if it's the end of the world. Then I will look at some porn or something.

Most here will continue to wait.
Most who decided to "rent" a phone will begin to sweat.
A few people will buy something else.

My money is spent until after Christmas, so I won't care (much) until then.

If December 8th comes and the Galaxy does not come out I will log onto You Tube and watch P3Droid eat his Nexus.

Oh yea haha, thanks for reminding me!

Maybe we should hope that nothing actually happens the 8th then. I'd like to get to see someone eat their device. Sounds like we'd win no matter what! haha

Ill probably wait and see what's next on CES. Better screens. Faster processors. Quad cores.
See the new Samsung processors? Man looks pretty good a15 cores mmmmmm and HTC promising better hardware tech soo I think the nexus is just loosing steam IMO. Once its out a month or so new phones are there and newer hardwares.

Should the Galaxy Nexus not be released on the 8th of December, I shall run nekkid through the streets, guzzling mass quantities of Samuel Adams Imperial Stout, while singing "I'm a little tea cup".

IOW, business as usual around my place and I'll just wait..maybe pick it up for wait for CES.

Let's see how bad Verizon can screw this up. Google has already said it's launching in November and Verizon f'ed that up. Heck I would be shocked to see this phone make it before the week of Christmas. I am already sitting on a 310 dollar charge for a phone I returned and was accepted at the warehouse 2 months ago and they still have not corrected my bill. So I can not upgrade until that is cleared up. Thanks Verizon!!!

I think I've seen you before! LOL

I had that happen to me as well a year ago. I kept on them, and unfortunately they will keep telling you it can take up to 3 billing cycles to clear you account. I would push for escalation to a supervisor, I will say though it may not do much.

Its just another date, and yet its a friendly reminder why Verizon has not given a date yet and with no formal date they are still safe. I wonder what will really happen if they don't get it out by EOY, the VZW top brass said it would be.

I have no idea why you would care what anybody else is going to do, but despite all the anger and false declarations you must hope to elicit, I'd guess that 98 out of 100 people here will still buy it, whenever it comes out.
