Since the Note FE is more compact for me than that tall Note 8, i consider it,
for those who know this stuff what i am losing or not be able to do on the Note 7/FE and can do on the new Note 8?
PS: i dont care about the camera a lot

This could be a very interesting topic, as a note 2-3-4 ((current device) user ,I was thinking the same from a size/price point of view

I think the airlines in us still wouldn't allow it on their planes - guessing.

Good point, I don't think that Samsung has tried to get approval to sell the Note 7 FE in the US or Canada. They supposedly sold out the 400,000 unit run that was released in S Korea though. If size is an issue and you can get it in your region then it is still a good choice. If you are somewhere that has demo models for you to compare then I would recommend you check both out. Even as I wait for my Note 8 to arrive, I can honestly say I still miss my Note 7.

There are Note 7 FEs on ebay that are factory unlocked. I would love to get one but my 2 concerns are...
1. Addicted to Samsung Pay and don't think that's available on international models.
2. Concern about getting LTE. Guess I would need to look at the bands.

1. you don't have any warranty
2. updates will be very limited (more so than they are now)
3. the extra 2 - 300 you pay gives you a more pleasurable experience
4. accessories easier to find

I thought about this but it won't work on all US carriers, and I think a lot of the software is made for the Korean market so who knows what you might lack or have and not want.
But I still thought about it. I did love that phone. However, I am starting to love the Note 8 even more. ("Love the one you're with"?)

Most of the listing online have become sold out, and some of them on ebay are near $2000. Most of them in stock list few left and some hold the buyer responsible for shipping and possible import fees.

I really want one because I've had all the other Notes, but being on Verizon I can't use it and that is A LOT of money.
