What is an LG G4 worth for parts?

If anything? Is eBay the best place to sell it if? Its fully functional with the exception of a cosmetic only dent, bottom left middle bezel, from a drop. Perfect screen, etc.

My thinking was that the price for a new LG G4 will be dropping with the release of the G5. I thought that someone (a repair technician) might be more likely to be interested in my device for its authentic LG parts than anyone would be for a slightly dented (functional) device that's been superseded by a successor model.

Remember - when you buy, you pay retail; And when you sell, you get wholesale. I doubt that a repair shop would give you more than $25 or $50 for the phone: less if the retail price drops. Also the repair shop is paying for inventory; if he seldom repairs a G4, he may not pay anything

Nah, if someone is stripping G4's for used parts, it is from non functional units they buy for bottom dollar. People with working phones like you are looking for way more then they want to spend.

Also G4 isn't going away. Much like g2 and g3, there is probably a large amount of G4 stock (This is probably why it was free after rebate on verizon, they used it to get new customers) and I suspect a year down the line we will see it popup as high end offerings for prepaid services, much like the g3 and Flex 2 are now.
