Gcam is the Google camera. It's not available on the Play Store and you need to search for a port compatible with your device. If you can find any in places like XDA you will need to sideload it.
I use GCAM primarily for pictures of people inside when lighting is not that great. Otherwise I usually use the Samsung camera app.
Really? I haven't found a need to do that. I'm not saying the Samsung native app is as good, just never disappointed to where I thought I needed GcamMy exact use as well. Great for this situation.

The versions developed for the S10/10+ also work on the Note 10/10+.
