Infolithium is basically a smart Li-ion battery. Sony uses the term for their battery packs in camcorders, which are able to communicate with the camcorder and charger to determine various performance metrics, like being able to display the battery level.

I haven't seen the term used related to phones, so more info may be needed to help further.
