What is the appropriate battery life of a brand new s7?

I normally have my phone on battery saver at all times cause it doesn't seem to change anything for the worse and I've only had my phone for a week now. For a while at a full charge and power saving on I had 24:24 worth of battery life and that seemed pretty good to me. Now at full battery it seems to be 20:16 with battery saver still on.

No such thing as appropriate battery life. It all depends on how the user setup the phone and how much it is used. An S7 that doesnt get any use at all can reach 100hrs. An S7 on continuous video play back will zero at 12hrs.

Another example is my old Note 2. When I used it, it lasts 14hrs on a single charge. When I gave it to my mom it lasts 3 days.

So how do you use your phone? Look at the battery stats and see if there's anything unusual eating up the battery. How have you set it up? Is it always syncing and on the net? Is it getting low signal? How much is the screen on time? Is it different during both instances?

I followed like all of the basic battery saving tips. I've been playing games often so I understand the drain from screen on time and the game. But the only concern was going from 24:24 max charge to 20:16 with no changes.

Android's battery stats are garbage and don't give you a true depiction of what is consuming your battery. Yesterday it said Facebook was responsible for 1% of my battery drain, despite me checking it all day and uploading a few pictures. I checked Twitter once for under a minute that day and it said 5% or something. That's complete BS

Open the entry called screen, and see how long has it been on. Then compare it to your usual times if you actually look at it.

You could also download an app called GSAM Battery Monitor. It gives more detailed information.

I've noticed with mine. It seems to drain faster from 100% to around 85% then slowly drain. I also have tweaked a lot of things over the time of having mine and get decent battery life. I usually get 4 hours of screen on time, 12-16 hours until it hits a charger again, while using various apps throughout the day. I also have BT on for my gear s2. I followed someone who posted here i believe about disabling packages. From his list I just tweaked his to mine. To sum it up it looks like the common battery life for the s7 is around 10-16 hours. The edge is obviously a little longer due to a bigger battery but this is what I have observed.
