What is the best custom rom for the Moto g7?

I don't even know of a rom that works with it. I can't find any. If there are any roms, I want one that is rootable and Google free. Are there any roms that work with the Moto g7?

Okay. Welcome as a new member.

I guess you’re wanting to root the phone and install a custom Recovery and ROM. It is so far as I know fairly straightforward to officially unlock the bootloader on a Moto phone, so that’s a good start - though of course your warranty is voided by doing that. As @mustang7757 suggests, XDA Forums is a good place for all that sort of thing, but since our own G7 users may also be able to help, I’ll move the thread to the G7 forum.

Well, let's see if we can get you started. Unlocking the bootloader wipes the device, so the first thing is to make a full backup of your personal data. Bear in mind that texts are not backed up, so for that you could download the SMS Backup & Restore app.
Tell us when you've done all, and say if you need advice about backing up. Then we can proceed to the next step.
