Hi, I got my vibrant a couple weeks ago and was wondering what the best overclocking app on the market is. I'm running the official froyo update and have rooted the phone. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

You need to install a kernel that supports it first. After that, Voltage Control is the best app to use (it's not on the market though). Set CPU is popular, but you may run into issues with it.

Where do you get said kernels, and how dangerous is it to flash them?
Also how easy is it to revert back to stock kernels if need be?
I have SGS Kernel Flasher 1.5.9 installed.

You can get OverStock here:

[KERNEL]OverStock v1.x and v2.x 341MB, Voodoo Sound, Color, Lagfix, BLN[EDT]4/10/2011 - xda-developers

And you can get Tigersblood here:

[Kernel] Tigers Blood v3.22 Voodoo Lagfix, Sound, Color, BLN, OC/UV[03/31/11] - xda-developers

Both can be OC'd.

Look in Shorty's Locker on the Team Whiskey board. Shorty keeps a pretty good list of Kernel's and Modem's along with the ROM's and various flashing tools.

Good Luck

PS: They are flashable zip files. Load the file to the root of your SD. Go into red recovery, Select the Kernel you wish to flash.

I have been using OverStock 1.4.x for sometime. Not overclocked, but have had NO problems. Just don't get carried away with your clocking and you should be fine.
