What device is it and how much does it retail for ? I don't care if it's a peace of Chinese defication. If its ZTE or Huawei I don't care. I'm guessing the galaxy s3 or s4 mini. But there must be cheaper.

Does it have to be new? You can check daily deal sites like DailySteals.com, 1saleaday.com, Woot.com, and IceMonkey.com for refurbished phones. Currently, IceMonkey.com has the Thunderbolt for $75 with free shipping. All you'd need to do is plug in a Verizon SIM, and you're ready to go!

I live in south Africa. Version does not operate here, it has to be new as I do not trust online purchases (we have many pick pockets/thieves in our postal service) it must also not be locked to a network. I must easley be able to walk into a local carrier and purchase one on site. Thanks for your reply.

BTW, wasn't the thunderbolt the world's first LTE 4G phone ? Or am I confusing it for another ?

The Thunderbolt was the first LTE phone in the US--not sure if it was the world's first.
