what is the default app for playing video in android kitkat

I seemed to have deleted a video app and now when I go to dailymotion to play a video, I can see the commercials but not the video, it says its not supported. I think I deleted some apps by mistake. any suugestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Which device do you have? Are you accessing Dailymotion on a browser? There shouldn't be an app that is playing the video--the browser should play the video, if the format is compatible. Which browser are you using? Try a different one, like Chrome, Dolphin, Boat, or Maxthon.

You could try clearing app defaults by going to the Settings>Apps​ menu (or App Manager, if you have a Samsung device), tapping the Menu button, and tapping Reset All App Preferences.

Try setting your mobile browser to mobile view I had the same issue with my HTC one max
