Android Central Question

I heard all the questions on this problem. And I heard all the answers the answers we're not all the same so what is the final consensus on what the eyeball is and what is it doing. It just started a couple months ago I've had this Galaxy Tab e for over a year it comes and goes just like the other people say I would like to know what it is.

What were the answers? I don’t know that there is a consensus. To me it sounds like Smart Stay.

Edit: Pardon me @Dano1200r; I did not notice that you had replied.

Doing a Google search I think it might be the smart stay feature. The theaxy phones and tablets stay on while you're looking at them

That sounds like the Smart Stay feature. The icon comes on when it's detecting your face to see if you're looking at the tablet. You can turn Smart Stay off under Settings > Display.
