AC Question

Tried top 30 searches in google for "+official samsung galaxy tab forum" and got 30 fansites. NONE are official so asking here.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and the interface is very challenging to use. No matter which app I am in, suddenly the tablet kills the app and jumps to a google search screen.

What I do know:
This can happen from any app.
This happens a lot while panning, zooming, or say pausing a video, or adjusting the volume.
Triggered more often from "pinching" the screen.

What I do not know:
Where the official forums are.
What triggers the search.
How to turn this auto-search setting off.

Please help.

Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! You can bring up Google Now (which is part of the Google Search function) by swiping up from the Home button. I suspect that's what you're doing by accident in the process of swiping around the screen. Usually, if you press and hold the onscreen Home button, you'll see a semicircle appear with the Google logo on it. Swiping up to that logo will then open Google Now.
