What is the hole above the flash for?

Sort of basic question - What is the tiny hole above the flash for?

It's not identified in the Pixel Hardware Diagram.

I thought it might be some sort of light sensor given it's over the flash but that could mean nothing, especially since there seems to be a concensus that it's a mic.

Since the small hole above the light is shown as a mic on the video; I would guess the little hole on the same level as the cameras, to the left of the LED, could be the LDAF (LASER detect auto focus) sensor noted in the camera specs for the Pixel 6. (However, in a sense it might be a LiDAR type system since LASER is a device to emit coherent radiation while LiDAR is the technique of doing so.) Damn if I know. From tests it appears to work!
