Hi

In my gallery I see a lot of taken pictures in Camera.

But when I look at camera it is empty, I know that they are there.

But I can't find it.

So my question is, where are the physical paths?

Regards
David

It depends on whether you have the camera set to save images to internal phone storage or an external SD card. Generally speaking (meaning that this is the way it's set up on my phone), internal storage images will show up at /storage/sdcard0/DCIM/camera, and external SD card images will show up at /storage/extSdCard/DCIM/camera.

On mine the internal (on-phone) images are at /storage/emulated/0/DCIM/camera. Note the slash before the 0. This is Android 4.3, Verizon baseband version VRUEMK2. There may be some differences from one Android version to another.

Oops, I missed the slash when I typed it in.

There's also the difference between "sdcard" and "emulated." I wonder if that is a variation between Android versions, or carriers, or what. This file system just seems clunky to me anyway.

Agreed. I think there may actually be multiple folder paths that all lead to the same "virtual" location in the phone's memory/storage, but I haven't bothered to try to trace it all through to see.
