what is this icon?

hi! can anyone tell me what the icon is next to my exes name blocked out in yellow?

i didn't know where else to post this. but i am using a galaxy S21.

Well at least this isn't a question about an app icon on your ex's phone.

The icon in question looks to me like it represents a phone. The icon also looks very similar to what shows up as the icon next to my phone, when I check from my tablet to see what Bluetooth devices are available to be connected to and when my phone is nearby my tablet.

I sure hope you aren't trying to connect by Bluetooth to your ex's phone when/if they don't want you to do that?

Or, are we to assume that device/icon keeps showing up in the list of available Bluetooth devices to connect to, even though your ex and their phone are nowhere nearby?

It's a phone icon ..have you paired both phones previously?you can hit the settings wrench to unpair ...what BMW are you driving ?

haha noooo i was getting paranoid that she put airtags on me...

it all started yesterday when i i tried connecting my S21 to my hotel TV. when the phone scanned for devices my exes' name popped up with the number 3 in parentheses. at first i was like that's weird. and then i was like 'is she following me??'. i pushed it aside to go out and explore tokyo. but when i returned it started nagging at me. so i opened 'find my' on my ipad but nothing showed up. then i opened find my on my macbook and again nothing showed up. so i downloaded apple's 'tracker detect' app (for android) and it says 2 unknown airtags found. it gives me the option to play a sound but i don't hear anything. i'm in a hotel and wondering if it picks up any airtag not associated with me. but i read somewhere it only shows airtags that aren't near their associated device. i am still confused, and maybe a bit paranoid, but maybe it's nothing. full disclosure though: she is possessive and one of the reasons she's an ex.

i don't think i've ever paired my samsung to her iphone. or any of her apple devices. ever. i'm gonna try unpairing and rescanning now. thank you.

oh and that was from a BMW i rented in portugal. it was a diesel wagon and so much fun to drive (in the azores!). i deleted it from the list.

update: i unpaired with her and nothing showed up in the new scan. i think i'm free.
