What is this orange flashing light on my HTC Vivid?

Orange flashing light

Help!
I have an htc vivid from at&t and i can not get my phone to turn back on. When i connect it to a charger a orange light starts blinking and within a minute the orange light stays on a little longer but continues to blink, after that i can hear it vibrate and it still doesnt turn on. I need this devices stored data

Could be the battery going bad. Have you tried using a different cable, charger or wall outlet? Try plugging it into a computer if you have one and see if it charges there. If none of that works you probably have to change your battery.
