What is this setting in my dialer

Stock dialer on G5 7.0

What is this setting for a custom #. I tried putting in a specific phone # there and called out to another phone...it did not show the customized number id on the other phone. So what is this for?

This document https://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/VS985/Userguide/419.html, in the Ongoing Call section, says:

"Show dialpad: Sets which types of calls will automatically display the dialpad. Choose from Voicemail / Toll-Free, All calls, and Customized number."

Not entirely sure what that means.

Thanks for that link N4..... Now I understand. This setting will allow showing the number pad when a specific phone number calls. I was thinking it was for setting a custom caller ID phone #, but since it is a setting in the "show keypad" area......its not.
