What is wrong with my new tablet???

My brand new android tablet won't turn on for the first time does anyone know if protab tablets with the 5.1 lollipop os (?) really does need to be fully charged before it will turn on and is there anyway of Knowing when it's charging (ie flashing light, a beep or even a little vibration I've gotten nothing whatsoever)? It's been on the charge For more than an hour and I'm beginning to think it's dead...

Hi, Sorry you're having this issue.

Have you tried different wall outlets? Have you tried a difference charging cable and box? Its quite possible that the cable or wall box is bad.

If I were you, and neither of those were the issue, I would contact your store where you purchased it, and or contact samsung and get a support ticket going for service.
