1. TB is the one we all love to hate and hate to love!
2. Battery is what you make of it. It does seem to improve as the battery "matures" and there are a few things you can do to improve the immediate battery life but may have an impact on future battery life.
3. The audio on the video is bad. As per HTC response it is known and is being looked into. It appears that the "noise cancellation" is coming into play and blocking the sound that is not directly in front of the speaker. Using an external mic will correct it but that isn't a great option for getting on "america's funniest videos" when someone flubs big time or the baby starts to talk and you have to search for a mic.
4. I am not in a 4G area so I have not had the same battery issues many have had when going back and forth between 3g and 4g, etc. At least it isnt like Sprint charging me $10 for a service I cant get.
5. As per many posts Android 2.2 manages its running apps and when I stopped obsessing over what was and wasn't running and let the Android OS figure it out I didn't see any greater drain than when I was doing it myself and actually it was better. Not to mention the extra drain I was creating by constantly killing apps that are going to restart anyway. I do kill things like internet or market when Im done through the app manager. T
6. The forums advised putting your phone on wifi where available for the constant sync updates (email, facebook, etc.) so that it doesnt have to search for a 3g or 4g connection when needed. Additionally, the wifi uses less power when available. I have found this helps also.
7. Finally, I have found that for my usage its all good. Im not a 19yo who spends all day playing games and watching videos, Im a 49 yo who wants to be able to check email and not have to go home and log on to my PC to check something on google.
In conclusion, dont worry about what you can or cant do unless you want to do it. Experience shows whatever you buy today will be overshadowed by what is available tomorrow. If you need a phone now you need a phone now, not tomorrow. Hopefully HTC and Verizon will step up. From my viewpoint, I was on ATT for years and could never get or make a call. Im happy to be able to get a call finally so the rest is all just gravy! Relax and get a spare battery, there's plenty of better things to worry about.
