Stock seems the same. I left it for a while then downloaded SwiftKey by the end of the night. SwiftKey is the best imo.

I have both Gboard & SwiftKey installed. They are both very good and offer a bit more functionality and the predictive text seems to work better than the Samsung keyboard. The only problem I have is that I cannot decide which one to use¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well... that KB has come an awfully long way in a short time. It wasn't that long ago that it was as bare a keyboard as you could find. It supported gesture typing, usual predictions and autocorrect and that was pretty much it. Now it's packed to the gills with stuff; theming and sizing functions, Google search integration, gif keyboard, real-time translation and multi-language support, etc.

The stock keyboard is much better than the note 7. The predictive text actually works most of the time now. With the note 7 it was unusable.

This. The stock keyboard is much beet than it used to be. On my s7 I was using Gboard but I haven't felt the need yet.
