I never used a launcher on my Samsung note 4 I got use to TouchWiz. Please help me out, what Launcher should try? I noticed some of the launcher apps are a bit costly. I also worry about it slowing down my phone. Thank you

I'm a big fan of Action Launcher 3 - it's very fast and smooth, it introduces new and efficient usage ideas that are easy to assimilate, and it's generally a great combination of new and familiar, with a ha baseline of high performance.

I use Nova on my Note 4, Nexus 7, and TF700T tablet. It is highly customizable and I have not seen any performance impacts from it on any of my devices.

Nova Prime here... Every now and again I'll switch to Aviate just for a change but that only lasts for a few hours. Have seen no performance drags with any launcher, only moderate battery consumption out of Aviate.

Legibly written by the almighty S Pen on my badass Note 4

Would using a different launcher disable touch wiz?

TW will be disabled for as long as you use the "Other" launcher. You can, however, switch back to TW very easliy in default applications from settings menu

Yes and no.

Your homescreens are presented by the launcher you choose (I'm a big Nova Prime fan myself, because I like having more icons on my home screen and being able to have ONE home screen). So that feature of TouchWiz is still in the background but not visible to you since the home screen button launches your new launcher app instead.

However, this doesn't affect any of the other features of TouchWiz. The launcher doesn't affect pulldown notifications, configuration settings, S-Pen detection, S-Health, S-Voice, AirCommand, and all the other TouchWizardry that is out there. In order to disable all of that, you'd need a new operating system, not just a new launcher.

totally agree with you, I used Nova all the time, but thought I should branch out more and now I'm using Action Launcher 3 - love the quick slide option on the right where you can hide apps and stuff.

Been using Google launcher since November love it, closes thing to lolipop until it comes out.

Nova Launcher Prime for me. I've tried just about every launcher there is, and try new ones as I see them, but I always keep coming back to Nova. The speed, ease of customization, amount of effects, and other touches just keep it #1 for me.

I use L Launcher since it gives the Lollipop feel and it has a neat left side panel that can be accessed anywhere...

Next launcher 3D is the best I've ever seen! It doesn't slow down my Note 4 one bit and is beautiful. It has so many different addons too choose from you will love it! All the others listed so far are good but next launcher 3d is the top of the line IMO. I tried spb shell and its pretty to look at but not really functional. Next launcher total functionality.
